This was a commisioned oil painting I undertook for a retirement gift. It was painted from a photo from a corporate day at the beautiful Lainston House Hotel Winchester, where he and his colleagues met the Eagle Owls and learnt how to handle them.
It was framed in oak.
A portrait I did from an old photograph of my husband's grandfather. He went down the pit at aged 14 and worked there all his working life. I love the way his stubble turned out, but I was very moved by the reation of his daughters to it. The photo was not very clear and I had to guess his eyes, but delighted people think it is really him.
I painted this from a photograph as practice for painting hair in oil.
I did this for Amandine, as she is her style muse
I painted this for a birthday present for my Elvis obsesssed sister. I am no Elvis fan so it was a difficult paint.
I painted Jonathan in acrylic.I am pleased it captures his cheeky sunny personality.
